"I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees." -Henry David Thoreau .
When The Village Meditates is a nonprofit dedicated to providing meditation programs to members of racialized and marginalized communities. Fimo Mitchell founded the nonprofit during the summer of 2020 with the hope of offering a safe and inclusive space where the community can embark on the journey inward. When The Village Meditates is a place of contemplation, connection and healing.
The Path is a 3-month meditation program designed to help you integrate a daily mindfulness practice into your busy life. Every week you will dive into a new lesson that will propel you along your journey inward. Register here for the next session that starts on September 13.
Start your morning with When The Village Meditates. From Monday to Friday at 5:45am you're invited to join Fimo for a 20-minute meditation followed by five minutes of sharing on a particular topic (for July we're talking about Wants and Needs). Click here to join. Mornings is entirely donation-based.
