When The Village Meditates is a nonprofit dedicated to providing meditation programs and wellness retreats to members of racialized and marginalized communities. Fimo Mitchell founded the nonprofit during the summer of 2020 with the hope of offering a safe and inclusive space where individuals may embark or continue along their journey inward. When The Village Meditates is a place of contemplation, connection and healing. When The Village Meditates is committed to building an empathetic and compassionate community.

Start your morning with When The Village Meditates. From Monday to Friday at 5:45am (EST) you're invited to join Fimo for a 20-minute unguided meditation followed by a time of sharing. If you have no experience in meditation and want to learn how to meditate please contact us. Click here to join. Mornings is entirely donation-based.

Every Saturday at 1pm (EST) en francais and 3pm (EST) in English,
Saturday Sessions are an hour. We meditate for 20 minutes and then share and hold space for each other for 40 minutes. This is a great space to deepen your meditation practice and most importantly be in community. Saturday Sessions is entirely donation-based.

This monthly gathering is for Black women and men. When We Talk is a space where we come together to see and hear each other in ways that our daily lives tend to prevent. The next gathering will be on January 26 at 7pm (EST) on Zoom. Please email to join the session.

When The Village Meditates offers 1:1 private meditation sessions, group and corporate sessions. Fimo Mitchell can also be hired for in-person or online events and retreats.
